The County of San Mateo is committed to making the Measure K website usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This statement applies to smcmeasurek.org.
Our standard
The site is built and maintained to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility problems are fixed in the site’s code, templates and content. The site does not use overlay widgets.
How we check
- An automated scan of every page, on desktop and phone layouts, after every release and at least monthly.
- Manual checks each quarter: keyboard navigation, focus order, headings, forms, zoom to 200 percent and screen reader testing.
- A written accessibility status report each quarter, with known issues, fixes and items that need County input.
Languages
Key pages are available in Spanish, Chinese (Simplified) and Tagalog. Translated pages are reviewed by the County before they are marked final; until then each page says it is a draft.
Documents
Many Measure K reports are PDF files. If a document is hard to use with your assistive technology, contact us and we will provide it in another format.
Change history
- November 6, 2026: statement published. Scan A11Y-20261106-01 found 14 failing elements in 3 rules, plus one field label found in manual review; all four were fixed and scan A11Y-20261106-02 found none.
Report a problem
Call the County Executive’s Office at 650-363-4000 or write to 500 County Center, 5th Floor, Redwood City, CA 94063. Tell us the page and what happened. We respond within one business day.
